We arrived safely in Luwero on Friday afternoon and received a warm greeting from the diocese followed by a tour of the cathedral, the offices, and the new pension house project they have planned. That evening we had a lovely meal with the Bishop Eridard and his wife Jane.

The next day we traveled with the bishop and Mama Jane to unveil a foundation stone at a church before travelling to a small area called Mazzi. We visited a school there with Jane (who was an amazing help) where Kirsty and Peter both shared some biblical reflections. We then sang some songs and had great fellowship with the staff and students. After this we rejoined Bishop Eridard who had been conducting a confirmation service.

On Sunday we travelled to Buzzibwera school where we got shown around, participated in their Sunday service and had dinner with their very energetic head teacher.

The service was very organised, with everyone singing hymns and reading prayers from a book. Steven shared his testimony and Peter also spoke. The school also had their student council and head prefect handovers, as well as some awards. Mama Jane was very involved in those ceremonies and again was a great help to us throughout the day.

After lunch some of the team participated in a game of volleyball with students before heading back to the guesthouse in Luweero.

The next couple of days were spent travelling and spending team time together as we get ready to leave.

We all agree that this has been an amazing experience and we hope we’ve been able to contribute something to both Kiwoko and to Luweero diocese. We would like to thank everyone for their prayers and support, everything has went really well and we look forward to getting back so we can share more with you all.
