Sunday 22nd June sees the 200th Anniversary of the founding of CMS in Ireland. We thank God for His many blessings over the past two centuries and we also give thanks for the many thousands of people whose prayers, commitment, service and generosity have ensured that CMS Ireland has continued to equip the church in mission.

We’ve asked all those who have a connection with CMS Ireland to remember the Society in their prayers today – both in church services and in personal prayers. We’d encourage you to use the following prayer:

‘God of Heaven, Lord of time and space, we give thanks today for the mission of your Son and for the ongoing mission of His Church. We ask your blessing on all who work alongside the Church to inspire and equip people for mission, remembering particularly CMS Ireland on this special day, the 200th Anniversary of their formation in Dublin. Guide and direct them, we pray. May their work – and the work of their Global Partners – be fruitful and effective. We pray that, with the help of your Holy Spirit, each of us will hear, and respond to, your invitation to share Christ’s love with a broken world.’
