We’re offering opportunities to visit Global Partners in Uganda, DR Congo and Nepal as part of a CMSI team in 2017. A team visit is scheduled for North Kivu Diocese (DR Congo) at the end of July/start of August and for Madi West Nile Diocese (Uganda) in August. We’re also hoping to take a team to Nepal in November 2017.

Team to Madi West Nile Diocese
We plan to send a team of up to ten people to Madi West Nile in northern Uganda for a two-week visit in August. Anyone from Ireland can apply for this team, although it will be of particular interest to those parishes that have a link with the diocese and to those who have previously participated in visits to Madi West Nile. This would also be a great experience for those Sunday School teachers who use the Children’s Resource material in 2016, for The Meeting Place.

The team will focus on the Children’s Centre Refurbishment (helping with painting and with finishing touches); Children’s Ministry (working alongside local leaders to run a one-week kids’ club); Youth and women’s ministries; other wider church activities. The new deadline for applications is 2nd January 2017!

Team to DR Congo – North Kivu Diocese
We plan to send a team of 6-7 people to North Kivu for a two-week visit from the end of July. Anyone from Ireland can apply for this team, although it will be of particular interest to those parishes that have a link with the diocese and to those who have previously participated in visits to the DRC. The team will have opportunities to visit the Mothers’ Union literacy projects, prison ministry and the orphanage in Butembo. Deadline for applications is Friday 16th December 2016.
