Pray for Paul and Alison as they conduct an initial survey to ascertain the interests and opportunities for Burundians to be involved in cross-cultural mission. Give thanks for those contacts who may be considering mission opportunities overseas. Pray that they would know God’s leading in the years to come.

Pray for plans to come together for a ‘Mission Congress’ this month, and pray that it will be a strategic time to connect with leaders who are yearning to see the Burundian Church fulfill its mission mandate. Pray that God would guide Paul and Alison as they help plan the event.

Pray today for Administration Coordinator, Jen Christie. Pray that she would know God’s blessing as she provides support for the staff team and oversees the day-to-day practicalities of running the Belfast office. Pray too for Jen’s engagement with visitors and with those who provide services to the office.

Pray for Roger Cooke as he helps to plan and host the Crossing Bridges event at Stormont on Wednesday. Pray too for his upcoming visit to Egypt, where he will be collecting information and footage for the 2018 Children’s Resource.

Please pray for pupils in the Tujisaidie and Bahati schools, who take national examinations this month, which will determine whether they can progress to secondary school or tertiary education respectively.

Thank God for the craft makers in the UDP communities – the Tujiinue Young Mothers – who with their skills produce beautiful objects for sale both in Kenya and abroad, including through CMSI in Ireland. Pray that their earnings will help them bring up their children and provide them with education.

Thank God for Isabelle’s work permit, this is now official and will be valid for three years. Thank God for all the people who made every effort to help with the application. May God bless Isabelle, together with Louise and Lucy, as she resumes her work for the UDP.

Please pray for good rainfall during the short rains in October/November. Nairobi has had to ration water supplies, and Isabelle’s house currently receives piped water only on Saturdays each week. Please remember the many Kenyans suffering famine as a result of this drought.

NEPAL: SD Church
Pray for a women’s health project in Lalitpur District (near Kathmandu) which SD Church are conducting in partnership with Lalitpur District Public Health Office, jointly funded by Bishops’ Appeal and CMSI link parishes. Pray for SD Church staff as they train Health Post Staff and female community health volunteers.
