BURUNDI: Gitega Diocese
The diocese welcomed a new coadjutor (assistant) bishop in August. Bishop Aime Joseph Kimararungu has been a good friend to CMSI during his time as Diocesan Secretary. Pray for him and Bishop John as they work together to lead the ministry of the diocese.

BURUNDI: Gitega Diocese
Remember Nyankanda Primary School as it provides education for more than 450 pupils. Give thanks for continued improvements to school facilities through the provision of new classroom furniture. Pray for the headmaster, Mr Didace Niyonkuru and his team of 20 teachers as they make plans for the year ahead.

Give thanks for the new Bishop of Matana Diocese, Seth Ndayirukiye, who is a dear friend to CMSI. Pray for Bishop Seth and his family as they settle back into life and ministry in Matana.

Remember the Mothers’ Union as it continues to tackle poverty by facilitating income-generating training for the women of Matana. Pray that participants will be encouraged through the improvement of their skills as well as their becoming part of the church community.

Pray for CMSI’s Mission Director Jenny Smyth as she leads the society through this busy Autumn term. Jenny represents CMSI on a number of key mission forums. Pray that these collaborations would be fruitful and that Jenny would be a source of blessing and encouragement to those with whom she meets.

Pray for Personnel Manager Gillian Maganda as she visits two of our Mission Partner couples in Zambia (20th Nov – 26th Nov) and Kenya (27th Nov – 10th Dec). Pray that Gillian may be an encouragement to the Scotts and Briggs and that she will gain a deeper understanding of their roles and daily lives.

Pray for Nepal as it continues to recover from the devastating monsoon floods in August, which claimed hundreds of lives and saw tens of thousands of homes impacted. Pray for the Church – and particularly CMSI’s partners – as they help to care for those affected.

Pray for Dr. Natsu Sharma, who took over as Executive Director of HDCS in May, and for Mr Kapil Jaisi, the new Deputy Executive Director. Pray that they would receive the guidance and support they need. Pray too that the partnership with CMSI would continue to flourish.
