South Sudan College Appoints New Principal

In a recent update from Bishop Allison Theological College (BATC) we learned that Rev. Lokosang Emmanuel is the new Principal of the College:

We have begun a new school year at Bishop Allison Theological College! Our 20 students are beginning their second year of studies at the college, and we are excited to have them back after their vacation. This year we are blessed to have Rev. Emmanuel Lokosang as our new principal. Rev. Emmanuel has served as a priest in the Diocese of Yei for the last 15 years, and he served as our chaplain at Bishop Allison last year. We thank the Lord for Rev. Emmanuel and his service to the churches in South Sudan.

Rev. Lokosang was one of three students sent by Yei Diocese, in partnership with CMSI, for further studies at the Africa Renewal University from 2015-2018. He studied along with Rev. Cosmas Gwagwe who visited CMSI link parishes in Ireland as part of the Harman Scholarship Programme in 2016, and Rev. John Todoko now serving in Morobo Diocese. Link parishes from Dublin, Glendalough and Connor diocese supported these students with their studies.

Theological training has long been a priority of CMSI and it is a joy to have partnered with the Diocese of Yei in enabling these three clergy to expand their theological training, and to see that Rev. Lokosang will use his training to empower and inspire students at BATC.
